White Water part info
« on: June 05, 2012, 10:45:54 PM »
Can anyone help me with the following information regarding some WH20 parts?

I'm trying to locate an 'Actuator Opto switch' P/N: 03-8698 - which goes between the Bigfoot motor, and the 2-switch opto PCB. I've hunted high and low at most of the part websites, but it looks like there may be none left  ^&^

I'm hoping someone may have one sitting around that they'd like to part with? If not, could I ask someone who has a WH20 to possibly take some detailed photos of the actuator and some measurements so I could look at making one?

I also need the measurements of the standoffs (P/N: 02-4564) as I will probably have to make some of those as well.

In the picture the Actuator is number 6, and the standoffs are number 4

Cheers,

Andy

I have had some success with locating parts on Mr Pinball Classifieds and rgp.

I had a bit of spare time this morning and pulled off the board and took a few pics for you, the stand offs are approx 22mm high, and are standard hex standoffs. You should be able to find these easily enough.
I thought you were missing the board so have taken a couple of pics of it, but didn't measure the plastic diverter you were after, From memory it is about 10mm thick you should be able to work out the diameter by where the optos sit if you have the board.

Thanks for going to the trouble for me - that's exactly what I was after. @@*

I've ordered the motor/gearbox assembly and PCB so once they arrive I'll start with the tinkering.

I'm starting to worry because I'm actually enjoying the challenges of hunting and finding the parts - and I haven't even started to pull anything apart let alone put anything back together. I've even started keeping an eye out for another project to tuck away for later - is this how this obsession starts?  :D :D

No worries, if you dont have the board it would be a bit of work, but you would be able to make one.  You could also make the opto interuptor, doesnt need to be exactly the same, just has to block the optos through bit over half its travel.
I could machine one out of aluminium if you got real desperate
