Thankyou everyone for the kind words.
*Learn from my medical lesson.lol
Yeh, I now definately know what a heart attack and a stroke feel like because of a blood clot. When my neck hurt massively after the bad chest pain, I rubbed my neck til I blacked out and it was the rubbing of the major artery/vein in my neck that saved me before I collapsed and woke up a few hours later heading off to hospital. It helped break down the clot a little, enough to give me a bit more time to the Ambo came etc.
Apparently, alot of people suffer from blood clots after surgery and in alot more cases than people know about, people are dying from blockages caused by blood clots. The lesson here, is if u have any surgery, I reckon take a asprin or two just to give yourself a bit of a insurance policy if u can. If u have had a operation that involves alot of bleeding etc, then u might need to give the asprin/blood thinners a miss.
But before I ever get any surgery ever done again, I am 1 million percent going to get approval to take a few asprin after the operation. The doctor will say complications from blood clots are rare so dont bother (which they did say in my case) but 2 little pills can save you. Take the asprin if u can, every bit of insurance helps. If I hadnt instinctively rubbed my neck hard for 20 - 30 seconds, I would have not made it. No blood flow to the brain, and then back around to the heart kills u very quickly.
Anyway, people/nurses/doctors at the Gold coast hospital (and the ambo people too) are the nicest people on earth. They deserve more pay and better working conditions for all the shit they cop from the public. If u know anyone who works in a Emergency dept at a public hospital, u are probably looking at the hero's of todays society. Underpaid and over worked, but they treat you like you are gold. Very appreciative of such kind people.
Thanks again for the kind words guys.
