Wanted: Car related pinball machine

Hi guys
I'm after my second pinball machine and as i'm into cars i want to start building that theme.
Doesn't need to be going, don't care what era would prefer a williams but does not really matter.

If you have some ideas on what ones i should be looking for. I like the Getaway but out of my budget (tho the project one on ebay might be a goer)

Would like to spend the 1g mark or under for one that needs work as i can build it up.

Car themed games are popular.  I don't think you would get anything for under $1k or even close (DMD).

Nino (Strangeways) might be able to help you with an EM car racing game, but they would still be pricey.  I have seen a corvette that Nino has and its sweet.

Off the top of my head Getaway, NASCAR/Grand Prix/Dale JR are pretty popular.  (around the $2k to $3k mark).  Then older titles like Memory Lane etc.

Otherwise Viper Night Drivin' can be picked up pretty cheap but I would strongly suggest playing one first before even considering.  Most prefer Getaway & NASCAR series etc.

For that sort of money you are looking at an EM.

That getaway on fleabay will blow your budget.

I have seen a car racing EM arcade game.  Awesome fun to play, but was more fun looking in the back of the machine at everything going.  The way it worked absolutely blew me away.

Could even sell my EM now to get a car theme maybe.

I except to pay 2000 to 2500 on an ok getaway but at least i could do it at my speed with the one on egay.
Just thought i would try here in case someone had one laying around in the to do pile

Yep, forgot about Checkpoint.  Dave's right probably the closest later model game but its a good fun game.

EMs - Twin Win (Very rare and expensive) and Pit Stop come to mind. Both good players.

SS - Nitro Groundshaker - I have one coming. These are expensive to buy.

DMD - The only game I can help with is Corvette, but that is outside your budget. Indianapolis 500 would also be outside your budget.

A reconditioned Corvette to my standards is around the $3700 mark, which is around $1000 less than the cleaned eGay machines.

Nitro Groundshaker needs some playfield work and I won't know how much it will cost until it gets here.

Yeah the Corvette is out, maybe one day 
Keep me posted about the Ground shaker, It's probably not how you like to sell them but i would like something i can tidy up not just buy and play. I have just as much fun making it look and play better as much as playing them

I like my car themed pins, have a Bally Corvette, Stern Grand Prix & Checkpoint. A Nitro Ground Shaker has insane artwork, one of the best car themed backglasses from that era imo. 

My advice would be to go play as many car themed pins as you can in next few weeks, save some more coin then make a decison. The Nitro Ground Shaker sounds good as well, half the fun is the chase in finding the game, best of luck.

Many great choices, but the budget does limit things. I500 and Corvette are 2 personal faves, I recently acquired a Corvette pin after wanting one for years! Getaway is probably the best lower priced DMD car themed pin. Don't forget Viper Night Drivin', too, if you've never played a completely working VND with the latest ROMS, you're missing out!
