I doubt that pinball is marketed at us pinball fans, it would be target at rich parents who have more money than sence and would spend $3grand on a toy for little Timmy, lol.

if they are targeting it at us then they have lost the plot, even Cavey said he wouldnt buy it <.>

Is that a topper, led display, or both?

Player 1, Player 2 ???????!!!!!!!!!

Also says "easily assembled" just like IKEA furniture. Look at the legs, alen key provided, I assume.

The question now is, does the man cave now become the kid pen minus the beer?

wait a minute, wait a minute,
Question - cant anyone post those photos on the facebook page of Stern ?
I still reckon its a piss take !
I really dont want to waste Sterns time with a email to ask if it is real, but its looking like I will have to to find out. I am betting it is not real.
Just cant see what market it will fill. Not when u can spend an extra $1500 and get the real deal. No father will spend $3,000 when he can spend $4500 and get a real one !

Lay ya bets down, and wait for the email response from Stern.lol  %.% %.% %.% %.% @.@

There is no way in the world I would buy one of these but I don't see the big deal here.
If Stern want to make it and think they can sell it to a target market good luck to them, if it works and ushers in some more kids into the world of pinball that surely can't be a bad thing for the future of the hobby.
To me it is no different from say Fender who make top quality guitars and bottom of the line cheap arse guitars or many car companys who make top of the line high priced vehicles and budget cars as well.

Its something that has been tried before.. Bally made a home version of Fireball. I couldnt tell you if it was popular or not.. had a great looking cabinet with a simplified playfield.
They certainly struggle to sell on the 2nd hand market

Gav, perhaps there is ALOT of TRANSFORMER playfields n bits n pieces n hardware left at the Stern factory which has forced them to think of a budget way of moving all that stuff on to get some $$ money back. That makes sense, cause I couldnt see them tooling up and scourcing more Transformer stock if they have quite alot still on hand. Alot of dealers still have Transformer Pro and LE stock on hand too. Its just a guess, but it might have some merit ?

IF Stern EVER move in this direction with its PRO or any other REAL pinball machine, then I will revoke my fan status.lol
