Turmites ?

My neibours house has been attacked by Termite's and caused a fair bit of damage.
But has not affected my house apart from the shed down the back.,
Was thinking is there eney none case of Termite's in pinball machines ?
Would they be attracted to them as they are made out of wood?

If the machines are on their legs you shouldn't have any trouble as termites don't like being exposed and walking up the metal, they rather bury through dirt and come up to the wood as far as I know.
Machines stored on their backs may have problems in termite prone areas.

know of a guy who stored a surfer in his tin shed. The termites destroyed it, and I believe the pin wasnt on its legs. I scored a nice set of chimes out of it.

I would be more worried about them getting into your place.

I spent 10 years in Real Estate owning and running L J Hooker franchises and saw my fair share of termites.
Termites dont care what they have to travel on, to get to wood. They will climb anything and everything the moment they find wood that they want.

Alot of people offer up a sacrificial piece of hardwood like a railway sleeper away from the house/shed etc when termites are around so they go for that and not your property. It takes them a few years to eat the hardwood sleeper, but only months to eat your house.

My advice, spray termite barrier everywhere very fast ! both in and out of your shed, and around your house.
Rats chewing the wiring harness is also another big worry when a pinny is in a shed.

Once picked up a Firepower that was termite ridden, i didnt know till i got the game home and at the time couldnt figure out why the guy only wanted $100 for it. Termites dont like the external environment, they are subterranian.
This particular game had been stored under a house that was riddled with them and the head was resting on the timber house posts. Result was termites in the head only.
I took the game to a fumigation centre ( cost $100).. they then stick it in a container and fumigate. 2 days later i picked the game up.
Fumigation is completely harmless to all circuit boards etc so the machine was completely unharmed.
I dug all the empty timber out.. bogged it up, restored the head and wear on the PF and then sold on for $1400.
Ill take a termite machine all day every day... THEY ARE CHEAP!
