CANCELLED - 2nd Run of Silver and Black Mirror Blades
« on: November 01, 2012, 01:35:28 PM »
Hi all

I have had a few sales in the last few days which looks like almost all the 1st batch is sold out.

I am contemplating doing a 2nd run before Christmas, but only if they is interest.

If I go ahead I will do 3 sheets probably more Bally's than Sterns but let me know your interest.

Silver
5 x Bally / WMS
3 x Stern

Black
5 x Bally / WMS
3 x Stern

Gold or Blue
5 x Bally / WMS
3 x Stern
I know blue is unique but I think it could suit a few machines and no one else in the world is doing it. Thoughts ????

As for cost:
Silvers with a lane protector will remain at $90
Blacks with a lane protector will be between $135 to $140 depending on material
Gold or Blue with a lane protector will be between $135 to $140 depending on material

Design:
Will remain the same as everyone was happy but with one small addition, 3 x 1.5mm holes under the screw mounting holes which will allow a 3rd option of installation - thumb tack fastening. This was trialed by one of my customers on 3 sets of blades and he preferred it as it was less impact (damage) on the cabinet and less likely to get caught on the playfield. The goal is that the thumb tack head will slightly overhang the blade edge so removal will be a little easier.

As for freight:
I can do quite affordable now with a account with Fastway

Discounts:
2 or more blade sets will get you a discount, everything helps

You just need to send me a message if you are serious

Also contemplating cutting SS cabinet protectors if there is any interest. Thoughts ???

Since all blades of the first run sold suddenly in a mad rush in the last week I will be getting material in the next week if there is enough in Aus as they don't bring alot in at a time - but if I don't get enough interest I won't go ahead and that will be the end of the blades probably for a while as early next year is a baby so high doubt it  ^&^. I am not taking dollars prior to material purchase but I ask that you only post serious interest. I need names for 18 sets to commit.

edit - 12-11-12 - list deleted due to cancelling progress with 2nd batch

I will be committing to SS by Monday (12th Nov) next week if I get enough interest (18 sets needed out of the 32 sets).

No BLUE available so not going that way and zero interest in Gold so far at this stage.

Therefore at this stage

2 sheets of SILVER
2 sheets of BLACK

Laser cutting is looking to be a few more $ per set as changing from the last supplier to a new one one so blade cost will be approx unless I get a better price between now and next week which I will adjust the blades accordingly:
SILVER - $95
BLACK - $140

+ the free matching mirror lane protector

If you get 2 blades will discount $5 off each (silver or black), 3 or more blades will get a $5 off each set but $10 off each set of blacks.

Packaging will be $10

Freight will be affordable and insured (Fastway) but subject to where you live. eg I am in Newcastle area and freight to Brisbane or Melbourne city areas will be $15 for one set and $5 more for 2 or 3 sets. Hope that helps.

Plans are to commit to SS and laser cutter by early next week only if I get desired numbers otherwise I will not run and commit as it's a couple of grand outlay and doubt I will get a chance for a while with a new addition to the family early next year. The blades would be ready close to the end of the month.

here is the design, everything else is proven and remains the same with 48 sets out there, the new ones will have something original and new - thumb tack mounting holes for less damage to your cabinet.

Note the small holes underneath the other 3 screw holes.

I'll put my name down for 1x  set of silver blades for an ACDC Premium pinball if any of the sets mentioned will fit that machine.

I'm guessing the ones labelled STERN will fit?

Have a look at this video

See the mirrored metal plates that run the entire length of the inside of the cabinet walls. Everything reflects off it.

Purpose? BLING!

Hi all

Thanks for the support but unfortunately due to some people pulling out I am not going to do a 2nd run of blades as it meant that it was not viable and more of a financial risk. Also like a few others my job is at risk with a company re-structure and risk of loosing job hence selling a few machines as well as a few personal things going on.

My apologies to everyone

Kind Regards

Jady

Hey swinks, just want to publicly thank you for getting those blades done and making them available (especially the black and gold mirrors) at a very good price to Aussie pin collectors.

It was a big risk for you financially to buy those sheets of black and gold (yes I know how expensive they were) and have them made based on faith that buyers would step up.

Good job.  ^^^

PS: The TOTAN has been "swinksified" with gold blades.  ()
