I rode bikes for a while many years back.. add my own stupidity to that of the drivers around me and im suprised im still here.
Last bike accident i came across was a guy going up a hill.. a car had come the other way and gone round a bus making him on the wrong side of the road.. hit the poor guy head on. I went to help and the guy was folded in half.. on his back... legs up around his head crotch flat with his stomach... had a completely snapped spine and died there and then. Poor guy.. i still cant get the image out of my head.. absolutely sickening.
The worlds full of stupid people and i wont put faith in any of them anymore as much as id like to ride a bike again..

...Anyway.. selling up?? NEVER.
I pull back from the machines now and again.. will walk away from a restore for up to a year as it will be doing my head in. I normally go and start something else then when im ready i go back again. Complete playfield repaints normally get to me, theyll take a couple of years to complete

I have had two of my close friends die in bike crashes when I was around 19/20, both from dipshit drivers in a time when the roads were a hell of a lot less popluated and somewhat safer. No way in the world would I ever own a bike in these times and neither will my kids unless they get a job and pay for it themselves, even if that happens I will not be happy and will do my best to talk them out of such a reckless, stupid decision and a huge waste of money.

I would sell my pin collection, albeit a small one but that would only be done to get some different /new games in the house.

There have been a few times over the years that i contemplated selling up, but I dont think i could ever sell all my games, though i HAVE down sized the collection slightly due to needing money for moving house among other things. I got rid of four games.. sold three and parted out another (my home made Vortex pin.. toasted beyond repair). It was only, as i said because i needed the coin that i sold any of them, and even though they were ones that i rarely played i would've kept them had i not needed to sell.

I find enjoyment when other people can play the games and discover the fun in them. If you keep your games for your own entertainment only, then they will grow stale on you.

I couldn't agree more. It's always more fun to have people around playing and enjoying a game of pinball with you. It's a great social outlet.

+1 to this, Definitely more fun to have other people over to enjoy my games.. the more the merrier  *%* great way to kill a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. $&&
