RFM Micro
« on: December 23, 2012, 12:24:57 AM »
HI all, Had a small problem with RFM today. Micro switch that controls the The clear plastic target stopped working. Can't get one till well after xmas. Does anyone have one of these? Has a flat metal lever that actuates the switch.

Would you be able to re-use the blade and just replace the switch body?

I could probably help you out there Keith, I have plenty of micro switches here at home, I use a lot of these in elec forklifts and should definitely have one that can suit or mod, I have used a lot of these on my RFM as well and they suit not a problem. swing me a pm and see what we can do for you, can't hurt to try  %$%

Also if you you can I may need you to do me a favor as well, I pulled out my RFM PC today and reseated the cpu fan with some top of the range arctic silver thermal paste, stuck it back in and turned it on, graphics went spastic, so I took out the pc again checked all wires and cables... All fine, plugged it all back in and then left it for a while, came back 2 hours later and switched on.
PC and power boots up but does not show graphics or go thought the power test with the BONG noise... No signal at all... Prism card does not flash but has constant light
I've been dealing with PC's as a tech for years and always follow safety procedures so no problem there.
Might be because of such hot weather?
If we strike up a deal I might see if you would let me borrow your pc for 5 to test.

Sorry for the long delay, but ended up with a bigger problem to sort out with this machine first. Turns out that the micro had slid back a little and wasn't getting to a closed position, so a minor adjustment and all is good.
