AFM is a hands down better game than RFM. Time was spent making this game play very well, and developing rules that made up for the lack of toys. This resulted in a great playing game with deep, well implemented rules. For all its technological wonders (for its day) RFM is still an inferior game as a players game goes, but that's not to say it is not fun - it is a heck of a game in it's own right, but not as appealing for pure pinball fun in the way AFM is.

i think u are right nick. on pure pinball play alone, AFM is better. overall fun factor probably RFM, but pinball gameplay only, AFM does perform better. the way u put it is correct. take away the monitor on a RFM and the gameplay is average compared to AFM. place the monitor back into the equasion and RFM is fun again.  ^^^
