Bruce from AMD has just told me that STERN has advised him that there is NO Ironman Classic stock available at this time at the Stern factory.
This may change IF Stern does another small run, based on demand. So it seems that anyone wanting a Ironman, would have to search thru the various Stern dealers to see if anyone has something in stock. Classic or non classic models. 
Would your Brother consider a nice 2nd hand IM ( both Swinks and CC seem to love theres)
I would think it would be on par ($$$) with a landed Classic
