They did look very clean and really beautifully restored but the one thing I couldn't get into was the clear coated cabinets. For me they were too shiney and didn't look right.
Looking at his photos, I was thinking the same thing. Once you overdo a restoration and deviate from the original look and feel of a machine, you start to loose the purists.

It is not a faithful restoration. It is more of a "bling" or "pimped" (to steal an American term) pinball. Overdone on the cabinet, wrong finish as no manufacturer clearcoated the cabinet, and certainly not in a high gloss finish. The door looks ridiculous in a high finish. I don't appreciate "pimped" machines.
I admire the effort, but it not considered a restoration. 200 hours is too long, there must have been a lot of coffee breaks !
Should get around $2500 tops.
Totally agree, it has been "pimped" not restored.. I too admire the effort thats gone into it, it does look nice but its TOO nice.. too perfect.
I repaired one of these for my cousin many about 20 yrs ago, and in the last few yrs i had been thinking i should call him and see if he still had it and if he wanted to sell it. Lo and behold he called me out of the blue a couple of yrs ago to tell me he had sold it, and did i have any pins i wanted to sell
The conversation started as "do u remember that Hulk pin you fixed yrs ago?" at which point i started to think here's my chance and said yeah i remember!! then he told me he had sold it
