Static plastic bash toys that break or crack over and over again are even worse.

Wolverine on X-men is a classic example.

The toys are not even plastic, they are a moulded rubber. I have purchased the wolverine and magneto toys for x men pro as spares to make a nice custom topper. I have never heard or seen one ever break or crack. I could be wrong unless a fly ball somehow broke a grey knife on the wolverine hand but haven't learnt of any. The rubber is extremely thick on the x men toys and I reckon designed to withstand any punishment from the silver balls. Take one apart like I have and u will see what I mean.
The bash toy from The Walking Dead is also moulded rubber and extremely durable. On the Pro u get points for hitting the bash toy, just like X Men so it is interactive. The Sparky bash toy is also very popular. I think bash toys on games are here to stay and offer visual and gameplay benefits . Even the Spaceship on Star Trek is proving fun and exciting.
Never met anyone who owned a X Men Pro or a Metallica Pro who didn't love it. I am only hearing positive things from actual owners of the Walking Dead Pro machine. A lot are enjoying the bash toy.
Give it time, it's such early days.
More importantly, what's Stern got cooking for its next 3 or 4 titles.
