Yeah they are pretty tough Brad . I wouldn't think that you'd be able to break one from nudging whilst playing .
If your glass has a bit of movement in the headbox you can actually install some self-adhesive foam around the frame that the backglass sits against . You only need to use fairly thin stuff though . This will stop your glass "rattling" and will absorb some of the shocks .
