Isocol - Chemists usually. Yet to see it in a supermarket
Isopropyl alcohol - Bunnings
The metal ball guides were cleaned with a green scotchbrite pad, then polished on my bench buffer. Smaller parts were cleaned with a wire brush then thrown in the tumbler
