Hi Daniel,

Soaked the main frame in rust convertor for a few hours, then a lot of elbow grease with brasso for all the parts, sanded the timber and rubbed some wood polish on.

Small update,
Stripped and cleaned the left drop target unit, replaced the broken reset arm bushes with parts salvaged from unit ddtoys sent me, was wrapped with this as I was able to set up the reset coil/plunger to the "sweet spot" and got rid of the annoying coil vibration, I was unable to do this prior to new bushes, due to the slop in reset mech.
Cleaned and polished the Replay unit.
Rust treated and cleaned up the gal back cover on the head.
Replaced the dodgy decagon PCB on one of the score reels.
Replaced playfield glass.
No pics as the missus has taken the camera tonight.

If anyone wants the decagon pcb to repair for themselves, I'll post a pic and send it to them if they want it, I know bugger all about pcb repairs, its an $8 US part.

Glad it came in handy Dave. Looking forward to photos especially of the Gal back cover some of mine look shit but never had the confidence to try clean then up

Nothing flash about the gal cover, still looks average but got rid of the patchy surface rust and that white powdery stuff.

Hi Tony,

Ive got to source some triple thick to get backglass sealed, then I'll get backglass lamps working, finish cleaning yellow off the rest of cabinet and head. I will pull out the bottom board so I can give the score motor and all relays etc a good going over. Plays pretty smooth now, only other thing i'm considering is gluing some rubber to back of gal cover to hopefully quieten down the player unit.
I might leave it at that for now and look for another machine, I am saving for another at the moment and think its better to purchase another machine than pour money into the QD.

A good time to be picking up pinnies me thinks.
