A bit more work on Flash.  I've finished removing all the contact I want to and have put mylar patches over the top of any touch ups.  I cleaned the pf with novus 2 and then gave it a wax with a carnauba wax - it looks great   $#$    Installed new bumper bases and skirts and started putting the posts back on.  I bought new posts to get them blue which I think will look better and I gave them a quick polish with novus 1 before installing them.

Have you thought about the bumper caps ? You can install Blue Bally/Williams caps and it will look magic. I used Red on the Flash I restored and I loved it.

Spent some time cleaning up the metal ball guides. Most were pretty filthy but also had ball tracks worn in them as shown in the first two pics.  I cleaned them then used wet and dry grade 240 followed by 400, both wet with windex.  It hasn't removed the tracks completely but looks a lot better - third pic.  Also gave the same, but a quicker treatment to the the under apron metal work.  It's very nice to be reinstalling clean bits.

Not sure about what to do with the bumper caps.  I have seen a Flash with the translucent blue caps that looked ok.  Haven't compared the original ones I've got to the new bases and skirts, but I suspect they'll look pretty shabby.  First I'll try some novus and maybe a touch up of the red in the stamping.  I'll most likely put a led in the them so that might brighten things up a bit.

A bit more work, this time on the wooden play field surrounds.  You can't see most of them when in game play but I wanted to do this right.  They were a bit scungy and the contact had bits ripped out of it in various places.  I couldn't find the correct fake wood grain contact to use, so had to settle for fake fake contact.  It doesn't look too bad I think, the only pieces you see are what divides the shooter alley and right return lane and also the piece at the bottom left of play field.

Can any of you Flash owners out there have a look at the shooter lane guide, shown in the last picture, and tell me if there are any screws visible from the top of the play field?  I reinstalled what I had on mine, but they don't look right - maybe it was only ever two screws up through the bottom of the play field so you wouldn't see any of the three screws shown.  Thanks for any comments.

Hi Mate

Nice job on the Flash, looking great! ^^^

Just had a look at my Flash, there are no screws visible from the top, mine is screwed from the underside of the playfeild.

Can take some pics later if you like
