coinmech retrofit

guys my 92 whitewater, came with a badly bashed coindoor, and 3x coinmechs which do not work.
i feel a pinball without working coinmech is like a car without wheels or a bull without balls!
i have bought the newest chip upgrade, which i believe doesent support coinmech, but is alledged to be a big improvement otherwise
so i will probably use it, but then maybe not!
i have beaten most of the dints from my door and touched up the paint, now thinking coinmechs.
i found a 2nd hand g220 coinmech, and am wondering if it can(relatively easily be installed in my machine.
i imagine it will need a new coindoor inner (to hold the mech.)
i believe it could work well, and i understand the c220 can read different coins, and may need programming if it was from another country.
may be a good excuse to buy a single opening coindoor.

put me out of my misery-is this a good idea or not?
i am all ears/open to suggestions.

Are you going to site it to make a few $$?
If not don't bother with a coin mech.

good advice.
only for the sake of having the machine fully operational.
the sales pitch to the wife was "money box" for my daughters.
anyway, the budget for the machine is blown already.
just wondering how difficult/possible?
sometimes the parts may come up cheap?!?!
i often keep my fingers xrossed!

dont like the idea of siting my machine for 2 reasons.
1. hard enough to fix the first time!
2.strangers touching my baby? no way!

at the speed i moveing, it will take a bloody long time to finish.
am making slow and steady progress.still so much more to go.
anyway...cheers

If you want it to be like a Money box you can get a coin mech for token that slots in just like a coin mech but will allow any coin to go into the cash box.  If you like this idea let me know and ill have a look bought a buk lot of coin mechs from bumper years ago with a heap of these surely there are a few left
