Nice collection Nino,

Silly question, but do flyers cost much these days?

I see them around time to time and wouldnt mind a few to hang about the place, but i'd only grab them if they're cheap.
I can't imagine i'll be spending $50+ for a flyer anytime soon hehehehee.

If anyone has a handful of flyers they dont care for, i'd be interested.

MM.

I really could not advise there Marty. Pinfan will know - he is an avid collector.

I do have some that I Know command good $$ like KISS / Rolling Stones / Space Invaders. Most should be cheaper.

Strange post Nino,  !@# But otherwise interesting.  ^^^

Flyers are allot like pins, in regards to pricing, prices can fluctuate from dealer to dealer. They still can be found for cheap if you're constantly on the look out like a hawk.

I collect SS and DMD flyers only. Most expensive flyer i paid for was of course KISS..... $50 US....and that was when they were selling for up to $150 US.

Now they are getting harder and harder to locate especially the SS flyers from the late 70's to early 80's.

Some people have big HEADS !

I started collecting flyers at the start, as there was no way i was going to get all the machine i wanted. It was all good as was only looking for original ones.It didn't take long before i got riped.
It was a good leaning curve to see how little ebay help me and square trades was a wast of time.Learned to read very carefully after that but it killed the bug to get any more.

How do you tell a A4 copy from a original or is that all you get now days.

I have never bought a flyer - only traded one or two. I can tell mine are all original as they have the dealer names on them, and they were sent out to Dad when he was an Op.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a copied Flyer - I've never seen one !

Why "Strange"  !@#

Strange ways, occasional strange post?

Myabe he thought it strange that you didn't know the pricing - but as you got them from your Dad it is not that strange after all.

Maybe I should have mentioned that  %.%

All the flyers I own were sent out to Dad as an Op. They were usually sent from the same dearship, or from Gottlieb / Bally / Williams direct. He used to have 100's of them. There was a bag FULL of these flyers that I found when rummaging through one of the storage buildings. some of them have some "real history" on them - Like hand written notes with the price of machines and the cost of the containers that the machines came in.

Heres an example ;

The "Captain Fantastic" has a note attached from the dealer - On offering of the "prototype" machine available until "the 4th of October 1976".

On the back of the "Top Card" Flyer - Hand written notes - "Top card $945", "Big Shot $850", "Sky Jump $815"

I don't know if they are US or AUS prices - But it is interesting to read the notes.

I'd say the most valuable flyer I have out approx 300 is a Fathom flyer personally signed by Greg Freres to me saying I hope you enjoy the game. Was thinking about putting it under glass.
