This looks excellent.  Might be a big seller. The playfield toys look dam amazing.

Maybe another John Borg winner !

Cabinet art should be amazing going by the cabinet artwork.

Do we have a machine that might give ACDC a run for its money ?? !@#

Anyone want to buy my Addams family machine for $5200 (pick up only), in order to fund this title?
Let me know.

I like Metallica, but i am not a huge fan. But i am confused where has the art come from? I don't recall any albums that had this art or figure. Unless it has been in the last few years?

Also (and i really don't want to ruin it for anyone) but when i look at the 'headbanging' figure i can only think of one thing...... %.%

Great to see metal ramps and and interactive toys though.  ^^^

It looks like the figure from that mobile phone/internet advert that was on TV about 18 months ago.....

It sounded like a reving motorbike with a frog noise combined if u remember the soundtrack for the advert.

Was it a TPG advert ?  !@#

the song list - probably be similar to AC/DC - select a song

songs from particular albums

KILL EM ALL
-Seek and Destroy

RIDE THE LIGHTNING
-Creeping Death
-For Whom The Bell Tolls
-Fade To Black

MASTER OF PUPPETS
-Master of Puppets
-Battery

JUSTICE
-One

BLACK ALBUM
-Enter Sandman
-Sad But True
-Unforgiven

RELOAD
-Fuel

DEATH MAGNETIC
-End of the Line

Awesome news, huge Metallica fan, the song list is great, plenty of their old stuff not so sure about the unforgiven and sad but true, the rest are hard fast songs and will work well on a pinball.

Love the open playfield and of course metal ramps mmmm

If I had the disposable income that I could put towards toys (which I unfortunately do not) I would buy one even though it is a Stern, definately a premium though not a half baked version.

Rock on

the layout does look good, but I just couldn't deal with the music over and over, sorry not a hater just not my music type.

hope they keep the wireforms, it would be nice to seem them compared to Avengers screened flat plastics

They artwork is by a guy called Dirty Donny he did the artwork for the original Metallica pinball

He hasn't done album covers or anything like that, Metallica just liked his art and asked him to do 15 pieces for them, and now obviously he is also doing the new artwork.

Here is a little info on him and halfway down his dealings with Metallica http://www.gravyzine.com/Dirty%20Donny.html

Pinball news have a little more detail http://www.pinballnews.com/games/metallica/index.html

first thing I looked for was the playfield artwork - and it is illustrated. Looks excellent - a bit similar to Monster Bash in a few ways, but I like it a lot. No photoshopped images which is a big move forward. The Cross is used throughout the game, which is interesting. As a band, I cannot recall any religious connotations. I'd expect to see a Black Sabbath pinball with the Crucifix all over it.

Straight off the bat, the artwork looks very cool. The layout looks promising. Big tick for Stern on "Day 1"  ^^^

About time another more "adult" title is released. I think it will sell well for that reason alone
