Pinball Fuses
« on: May 05, 2013, 06:46:17 AM »
Where do you buy your pinball fuses??

Now that I seem to be working on more & more machines all the time, I'm looking to stock up a bit on fuses.   Thing is, I think the 'normal' price for 3AG slo-blow's is quite ridiculous!
Am I just being tight or do others here feel that $1+ each is hefty?  I'll add that I think most pinball parts prices are fairly reasonable.

I'm looking to buy maybe 150-200 fuses of various values.  Can anyone recommend anywhere in Australia to buy them at a more reasonable price?
VUK you!

I have just had 75,000 fuses manufactured for me by a fuse company and they are on the water now. All are made in the values we need for pinball and the prices will be excellent. I will have packs of all the correct values available in a few weeks.

Even better! Great stuff Mike.  ^^^ I see you also have a heap of connectors there. Do you do kits?

Can never have enough fuses on hand.  I'm looking forward to grabbing some when they become available.

Connectors I get for in house use but when I previously had fuse packs they were gobbled up faster than I could make them up.

I was amazed when I had to spend days looking only to find the values we need simply were not available and factories don't use them any more. One of my staff called up a fuse factory and negotiated a deal for 5000 of each value made just for me (usual min order was 10K pcs).

Here are the four cartons of them ready to label up and send to the port for loading:

Excellent initiative. I will be looking to buy some of those, Homepin. $1 a fuse for the good quality ones is still pretty expensive, I agree.

Last time I was able to sell them for around $0.12 each - I doubt I can match that price this time due to them being a special order but I should be well under the $0.20 each

Put me down for some I think the hardest ones to find are the low amperage ones under 1 amp.

Definitely in for quite a few sets across the different manufacturers if possible. I'd like sets to suit....
