Cursed's Games Room Project - Pic Heavy!!
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:12:46 PM »
I have finally managed to convince the better half to let me bring my machines in out from the cold garage to the warmth of our house and have a proper games room. Thought i would share this exciting time with you guys as i am keen as mustard to get it completed.

Previously this room was used for my parents to store items in and use as a lounge when ever they visited us. I have moved them to a smaller room and now have a decent sized 7 x 4 metre room to work with. I have everything planned out and i am hoping the room will be great once i am done. Only in the early stages at the moment and hope to have the room ready to move machines in by mid next month (July).

Anyway here are some before pics.........

This is before we emptied my parents items, as you can see there was alot of crap in there!

Have been busy removing the items and now the room looks like this currently........

Next up the electrician is coming in to do some work early next week.

Super excited and i can't wait to see the room when it is done, the next 3 weeks will not go quick enough!!

It is always a great step forward when the other half grants Papal Dispensation to create a dedicated games room. Looks like a great room to play pinball !

Yep getting power points, lights, network cable (have to use this room as my office as well) and a few other little things here and there.

Thanks for the comments guys, can't wait to get more done.

Removed the carpet today.

Amazing how much the carpet insulates, reflects light and dampens noise!!

Now let the painting begin!!  ^^^

Looking good so far.
Black is an unusual choice for switch plates, what colour are you going to paint the room?

Looking ahead....if you miss the inlaws too much, you could always give them back the room and think of all those power points. They could plug in masses of life support equipment when they're 110 years of age  %$% See you could always justify the expense now  ^^^
Still loving my Metallica Premium
