Friggin disaster!!
« on: October 26, 2013, 08:01:35 PM »
Went and picked up my latest haul today... a 1951 shuffle for parts and a 1969 KASCO AIR FIGHTER...all went well until it came time to take the Air Fighter off the truck... the back fell off and the bottom mechanics came crashing to the floor. result is that I bought a fully working machine that no longer works!!! HA!!!
Looks like a pretty easy fix though.. machine started up and then just stopped. Closer inspection and I have a smashed micro switch. Other than that, im hoping shes OK.
Was going to post pics of the machine in action... but circumstances dictated otherwise and so youll have to make do with this..

Nasty mate..

Hopefully there won't be too much damage. I think you will need a BIG shoehorn mate.

I carry plastic wrap with me in the back of my Ute. I use it to wrap around everything I transport. Very cheap insurance in case a door or panel "unlock" themselves !

Post pics when all done - cool game.

Im kicking myself bit here... bottom mech panel is screwed down in place.. bolts were there and I "assumed" they had been locked in.... I should have known better!

Daniel, all I can say is boy, are you lucky they are not mirrored back glasses! Shame nevertheless.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

Hi Gav, do you still have the air fighter machine?

Picked up one today which looks like it needs a fair bit of work.
Had most of the wires cut at some stage. ^&^

Steve.

I tried to sell that machine but no one wanted it. In the end, I needed the space so I decided to scrap it.
I was at the time giving a GTB lock down bar away to a member here who came round to pick it up... he saw the pile destined for the dump ( I was going to keep all motors etc) and said that he wanted it. So off he went to get a trailer and when he came back, he loaded the pile up.
Lockdown bar and game were free.....
