I finally got a Creature Topper from the States delivered. I have been thinking about different mounting options for it - as there are some on pinside. What I am thinking about doing is making it into a moving topper that begins moving when the creature feature becomes active.
The topper is compressed foam so it is very light. I currently just in the brainstorming phase and wanted to throw it out to everyone to suggest ideas of mounting etc.
I am thinking about a
Hinged base plate (can secure it to the head and the base of the topper to allow the up down movement.
Was thinking about a windscreen wiper motor - for the motor and using a cam to get the tilting movement.
I do have a spare PIG2 so am thinking about using it to wire in the motor
Topper will be already positioned on angle - to get it to hang over - will only need about 5 - 10cm of movement to get the effect.
Have no clue on powering it - or where from
I will throw up a few photos a little later tonight.
