Bally SS 80's era $0.20 Coin Chutes
thanks to Nino for supplying me with a sample from a Fathom I was able to replicate a chute for the Australian $0.20 piece. I can print in White or on special request from a colour that I have in stock - orange, silver, dark grey, bronze.

- 3D Printed (by me) = $4.50 each or 5 for $20 + postage
or
- 3D printed (Shapeways) = from $5.40 each + $20 postage with a choice of polished White, Red, Purple, Pink and Blue

https://www.shapeways.com/model/1600257/bally-ss-pinball-20-cent-coin-chute-australia.html?li=search-results&materialId=62

Note:The design is accurate and my 3D printing adds 0.2mm to each dimension but still fits into the plate and easily allows a $0.20 coin to pass through.

next there is a Stern 80's era coin plate for an Aus 20 cent pieces or potentially coins smaller than our 20 cent piece.

This is still going through some fit testing with a sample sent to Ralph today and then it can be finalised though this might be a better one for Shapeways due to some over hanging edges. Once Finalised I will send another sample to Ralph and he can let me know if he is happy with the final product from me or to go with a Shapeways version.

I'll grab a few of the Stern ones, when they're ready, too Swinks.

Love to see a pic of one installed Ralph.  :)

Have to say I look like a fool, as I assumed all the parts sent to me were all Bally Fathom, but in actual fact I think these are Williams Coin Chutes A3-7472 - sorry for misleading people - next time I won't release parts until I have a drawing and know what era the parts suit.

Can someone scan and provide me a assembly drawing for this part and if possible a printed list of what machines this will be found on.

Thanks

Hi Swinks . Here is a picture of the Stern Coin plate , And it will need a little taken off just the part that needs to go through the metal coin plate holder , All other dimensions are fine and the finish of the product is nice. Ps i sent a PM , with more details. The picture shows that it is slightly to big to go into the Metal holder. Regards Ralph...

That won't be a problem, how did the parts fit into the grooves in the back of the part.

Cheers

Bump - anyone have a drawing that refers to the late 70's, early 80's Stern coin plate / chute part in a manual - please

Ralph found and issued me a drawing, see attached and I have finished the part so it fits nicely. But the Shapeways price isn't cheap as like the other parts around the $12.50 each, so again probably another fail unless you really need or want the part then you have a option for your restoration.

I did come up with an idea and need some feedback from you guys with old Stern's. I thought if the metal components key in the back and hold everything together then maybe just a dedicated chute only as that is all that is seen from the front. Then you come along and grind your existing old plate back to fit with the replacement chute only. Refer to the pictures below, as the orange part represents the part that you would buy and the white part represents the part that you would grind back.

Is this feasible or will the coin window part drop / fall away?. If feasible I will load it up to Shapeways as the alternative budget option as the price is under $6 each.

Again please note that 4/5's of the price is Shapeways cost to manufacture and the remaining 1/5 is my income from the number of hours for measuring, test printing, postage of samples etc so doubt I will ever earn what I put into it. As for me making them the price would not be much different and the quality a little under what Shapeways can do.
