Bally Capt Fantastic
« on: May 18, 2014, 05:09:39 PM »
It begins!

I cut my teeth on a Williams Hot Tip EM and it has now left my games room working 100%.

Time to start the new project, Bally Capt Fantastic. Have installed a new line filter and power cord. It all fires up and the lights are on, but the game will not shoot out a ball. A nice project for the winter. Will use this thread to update on my progress.

To get the silver ball rolling, can someone please post a photo of the relay list in the base of a Bally cabinet? Over time the labels have been worn off.

Cheers!
Adam.

It could help. Use the schematic to check the wire colours on the relay coils and you might work out what's what.

Nice one. Thanks for the help, guys!

Hot Tip was great because I had a diagram from pinrepair with a list of all the relays in the base of the cabinet.

Cheers!
Adam.
P.s. hopefully I won't ask as many stupid questions with this machine. First task is to replace the fuse holders. Have a pile of parts ready to go.

Cos of course BALLY relay strips are conveniently placed UNDER all the wiring... bet you cant get a good pic and end up writing them all down..

Many thanks for taking the time to do this, Nino.

Hopefully on the weekend I'll get some time to start work on the Captain and I plan to take a photo of the relays and will label them and post the final image up in this thread.

Cheers!
Adam.
