Back then I could buy two TAFs or one BarbWire

interesting isn't it, so was the TAF in bad shape or were they really that cheap? Even WCS costs more..

They would have been in reasonable shape. I do have some old "Flash amusements" flyers with KISS - $650 each.. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Yes, I bought my 12month old Flash in 1980 for $500 but a new machine at the time was about $900. It is all related to inflation like all other goods.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.

Sensible prices were still the norm in the '90s as well.

The price bubble has really only occurred in the last 10 years.

I bought my first pin whilst a uni student in April '99. A sited 100% working IJ with faded cab and no playfield wear for $900.

Used B list titles like Judge Dredd/WCS used to sit in the $500-$800 range unsold for weeks at a time in the hardcopy paper trading post (places like ebay had yet to gain momentum).
