Coles or Safeway stock "Nifty". I swear by this product to clean machines that have not been cleaned for years. Spray it on a rag, and then clean the playfield. As Mike pointed out, NOVUS is by far the best product for cleaning and polishing playfields with or without mylar. Novus is available from RTBB -

Wax - use "carnauba paste wax". I have been using "Meguiars". You can use "Mothers" as well. I have yet to try the new product from RTBB -

Mill wax is also a pretty good product for a quick clean and wax. As Nino and Mike mentioned, Novus is excellent as well.
