Evel Knievel (Sydney)
« on: April 19, 2009, 08:46:21 AM »
Another one for sale, will be interesting to see what this one goes for. Last one from Bumper fetched $3950 from a $1 start. This one looks to be in similar condition.

This was mine - traded it for Gottlieb Gigi.

The game is in much better condition than the photos show. Everything that could be bought new was including the top 'dead' bumper EK caps that aren't available for sale  &&

This was home use only since Christmas 1980, bought it for $700 and it was almost mint when I got it

But what a BORING game to play  ((( ((( (((

I can't watch this auction because it will sell for mega bucks  !!!

The Gigi is in stunning condition - did the trade around 12 months ago.

Traded my near mint Evel Knievel, Joker Poker and Meteor for 3 games from the 1960s (Ice Review, Corral and Gigi)

The Meteor is now owned by tonyt on this forum  ^^^

Great machine Tony and in top condition, a keeper for sure.  Was not chasing this machine but came as part of the Ali and Rocky purchase I did last year

You'd have to ask why - sure the guy is dead, but it didn't turn a lame game into a classic!

Nah, I think it will struggle to get past $4K - there has to be a couple of highly motivated buyers to push it past that, and I don't see it happening. The photos don't really do it justice by the sound of it, either.

Yes, they don't seem that rare with 14,000 made. Maybe they are rare in Australia, but nevertheless for that money you would want a good player. I guess there are some fans out there pushing prices up.

Imagine the money KISS will fetch when those guys are dusted. Not to mention Rolling Stones.

Soooooo - if I buy a mint Kiss and a mint RS, do you think I'd end up with a profit after the cost of the hit-man?

Rolling Stones will never fetch the same price as a KISS. Especially a fully restored KISS. RS is just hovering around Playboy, although Playboys are starting to look like a great prospect in a few years time (Hugh is not immortal).

KISS fans are still rabid about owning a KISS. I get at least an inquiry on mine once every month

Agree re Playboy, that was a game I really liked back in the day.
