This is a simple part (mod) to dress up your pinball plunger housing specifically for car themed pinballs in which the design will suit the 90's Bally / Williams plunger housing as well as the Stern games (and possibly the Data East and Sega games). You could also use in games that you are the person in the car like Creature From the Black Lagoon as you are going to a drive-in or Taxi as you are driving in a Taxi driving around picking up people.
The plate represents a manual 5 speed gear shift plate with the plunger rod taking up the 3rd gear spot. There are some graphical drawings showing the design in a 3D modelled Stern (Black only) as well as Bally / WMS plunger assembly typical Chrome Look and then a Black (customise yourself). In addition like the graphical pictures you could paint in the recesses a different colour and wipe off the excess off the front of the plate so the numbers and letter pop.
As for materials and colours, I have opened up a lot of options with the metal plastic as the default option but with many cheaper as well as dearer (gold plated brass) options to pick from. Or you could try printing off the basic polished metal one and then take it to you local chromers and try getting it chromed. (I haven't tested this yet so do it at your own risk but I plain to do one in the near future.).
The design has a recess in the back to suit many of the Bally / WMS plungers as they had a circle in the mould of the original, this recess in the back will be hard to see when installed on a Stern Pinball and just allows you to swap into another machine if you flip your pinball game.
You will have to lift your playfield and pull apart your plunger assembly to fit this mod (plate). There are 4 small circle recesses in the back and I recommend that you can put a dab of silicon glue in each recess and press into place. Make sure you clean both surfaces first for good adhesion this has been test printed on a Rep 2 and will post some pics soon.
