Refuse to listen to 90's grunge or anything else that is an 'alternative' to music, ala 'C'rap too.

cant get Absolution by Muse off the CD player at the moment and Stone roses are getting a good thrashing.. but i must have been in a mild moment tonight as i had Beck playing... but if the vinyl comes out then it could be anything from 60's psychedelia to janis Joplin, capt beefheart... oh yeh and after a few beers and playing not fixing pinball i do like to crank Pinball Wizard by the Who up REALLY f**kIN LOUD!!!!

Absolution is totally addictive, brilliant! that get`s a regular play here.

Actually - AC/DC are a 70's band - where most of the other bands mentioned here are from.

But you make an interesting point, there's not much music these days that compares with what we grew up on and listened to. I often watch "Video Hits" and just feel totally at a loss with today's mainstream music.

In the early 70's they were all "long haired layabouts" - punk in late 70's convinced them that society was on the brink of collapse, the 80's was just total rubbish- 90's and grunge was just bloody noise!

Only music i find painful is soppy soul R&B and rap... but ive never liked either at anytime. I had hoped that rap would die off sometime in the 80's but every dickhead that can recite a nursery rhyme seems to find it clever and so it stays with us

It's almost a lost art for bands to be musical or talented anymore....sad but true.

My brother likes Rap he comes over all excited WOW listen to this its the best ever.     I have no idea what there saying let alone see whats any good about it lol. But saying that i like some eminem stuff but only because he is paying the shit out of people lol

Death Magnetic is a great album, they seem to have sorted thier shit out after st. anger.
I have the cd and dvd of S&M awesome album, great to see most of the orchestra members getting right into it and enjoying themselves.
