Can anyone here speak another language other than English ofcourse ?

I am seriously considering learning German and French.
If I can get by enough to speak the basics to get by, I was then going to consider Chineese ?

At 45 years of age in May, is it too late to learn and have a go ?

Has anyone ever had a try as an adult at seriously learning another language to get fluent or half fluent. Lol ?

Any ideas or comments for me ?

Thanks in advance.  ^^^

I speak a da Italian!

My view is that unless you have someone to speak the language with on a regular basis, classes alone will never do it.  So if you can, chose a language of someone you know that speaks a foreign language.

It would be easier if you were in Melbourne, where every second person speak another language!

Are u guys telling me you learnt the German swear words watching german porn. Lol  &&

That German word above looks sneakingly suspicious.
I am thinking it has something to do with the human anatomy ?
Wikipedia didn't give me any search results.

If I ask a German language school what that word means I am sure they will either laugh or shudder. Lol
The only downside to learning German is that I will be able to understand what Hitler was yelling and shouting about during his lunatic speeches. That may not be a good thing.

But at least world war 2 war movies will make more sense when I watch German or French war movies on SBS. Lol  !@#

Backpfeifengesicht. German compound word for a 'face that should be slapped'.
