New Game Day
« on: May 18, 2015, 05:41:07 PM »
Hi Guys
Hope the title didn't get you too excited but I wanted to share.
A mate had one of these when we were kids and I was so blown away that I saved all my paper round money for weeks because I had to have one too.
This is the later Galaxy Invader 1000 color model (green and red)as apposed to the standard Galaxy Invader (green only) model that I had.
When I saw it on eBay I had to have it and my mum didn't try to talk me out of it this time either I remember her telling me I was mad spending $50 on a toy..lucky she doesn't know the price of some pins.
Anyone else have one of these? It's still fun too play too.

Yeah I have still got one of those as well as a Pacman and a Mattel - Auto Race and Sub Chase from the mid to late 70's.  Great old games.
Addicted to pins.

Had one of these as a kid, played it for hours.

Also loved my round pac-man version.

Ahhh the memories.....

I haven't seen one of those for years! I used to have that one and a Pacman as well.

Cool! I have something very similar to those pictured, an Invader 2000 that my younger brother left behind at my parents house when he moved out of there twentysomething yrs ago.

I was tidying up there recently when my sister bought the place, i found this one pictured in the wardrobe in my old bedroom, so i grabbed it.. and yes it still works!!

I remember this game when I was young. Was at the local Toy Store in Edwards St Reservoir. I used to buy my plastic model kits from there, and my best friend bought this game on "lay buy". Was a big deal for a 12 year old. My how things have changed.
