KISS Bally 1978 on gumtree

Only 15k.......Fark me what a Bargain!
Better be quick but don't bother with a lowball offer of $14900, the seller is in no rush to sell.
If only it was closer.......

Someone should offer him the $2k it's worth with nearly 40 year old wiring. Why would anyone put that last sentence in an ad?
I enjoy Porsche, Gibson LPs, Bally-Williams & learning about pinball maintenance & restoration.

Looks genuine in photos. Price is unrealistically rich.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

I love debunking the KISS machines. Just like the repainted Mata Hari's that are called "The Best restored KISS since the last machine that didn't sell and this one does not have an overlay this time"..

Myth ;

"I have owned this Pinball Machine since 1988 before that it was never in an Arcade"

Fact ;

The game was released 10 years BEFORE the owner took possession of it. It would have earned a lot of income for the operator. In fact it earned so much, that is was still operated RIGHT before the owner took it, as when the game was released it was 20c a game. It is configured for "2 X 20cents". Clearly operated for a VERY long time. It may not have been in an arcade. It might have been sitting in a coffee shop or fish and chip shop where most games were cited in the 70's and 80's.

Myth ;

"It has always been in a Private Collection."

Fact ;

Already proven to be a lie. Maybe in "his" private collection. But clearly routed until the late 80's.

Myth ;

"It is totally original Not "upgraded" with reproduction playfield, LED Globes ect."

Fact ;

Probably right. Must know about the "greatest restored KISS on the planet"..  (((
note the seller distracts the attention away from the touched up LHS of the cabinet.

Myth ;

"You will not find a better example of this Machine. Includes the original Service Manual."

Fact ;

I found 2 last year in far better original condition, and I could have bought an Addams Family and Fishtales with the change..

Myth ;

"Yes the price is $15,000 and I am in no Hurry to sell it.. Honestly if anyone offers me $14,900 I will say No."

Fact ;

Would offer $1800, or $2200 TOPS. won't sell to the public for more than $3500 - given it is in WA - it might sell. Glad he is not in a hurry.

Myth ;

"This Pinball will only Increase in Value"

Fact ;

Seller needs a bonox and a nanny nap. Seriously in fantasy land.

Thanks for sharing the listing - i enjoyed that !
