Great job so far on those PF touch-ups.

If you thought getting the top ramps off was daunting - just wait till you have to solve the riddle of what goes where first when you put it all back together  - no I aint shittin ya - its a killer

Hi Wotto, I have got some replacement boulders that were made for me by Brad.
I flame polished your old ramps on the weekend, they came up real well, I'll post a few pics soon

I'm very interested in this thread as I have a White Water that I intend to restore aswell.
Your playfield came up really nice but aren't you worried about the touch ups you've done wearing through again?
Just wondering if you considered having the playfield clear coated?
That's what I intend to do with mine becase of the whole touch up paint thing.
Top job on the resto so far by the way.

There is no need to do a full CC, so I tried get away without going overboard.
As the touchups are small, I CC with automotive acrylic which after a few weeks sets hard as a rock, all I have to do is usual maintance clean and polish with pure carabuna wax and touch up will be protected forever.
I have used this method in the past with no problems at all.

I love the whole clear coat idea. I guess I've got it in my head that I want the machines I have to last longer than I do
I hadn't really considered any other ways of preserving the playfield.

Yeah, you need to be a little careful of colour bleed if you use a sharpie pen to do lines, but I usually seal with acrylic clear touch up then use the auto clear, the auto clear has more thinning agents in it I think which can cause the colour bleed.

I purchased a new lower to upper and disaster drop ramp from Greg as mine were cracked and beyond repair.

Wotto kindly gave me his old upper to lower and insanity falls ramp as he found some replacements when he was restoring his pin.


Interesting story, Wotto advertised his old ramps on AA in a thread, first to reply with proof they owned a WH20 and actually needed the ramps and wouldn't just put them on ePay could have them for free, luckly I was the first to reply.  Wotto lives in NSW so I expected to fix him up for postage, but Wotto had to come down to Melbourne for a drum expo in a few months if I could wait for them, I obviously could, and I met up with Wotto and picked them up from him directly.  TOP BLOKE!! 
So I got two ramps, personally couriered from NSW to Melbourne for free!!

Hi Bwodie, I will reblue them using gun blue like I did on my TZ ramps here: http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?topic=410.0
They came up very well not as blue as original but much better than the rusted steel.
