Flipper baseplate for 1974 Bally

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone would have a couple of flipper baseplates to suit a 1974 Bally Sky Kings that are surplus to their requirements and could sell to me please. The coil stops on mine have been secured to the baseplates using tek screws, stuffing the thread in the plates

the other way around is to drill the holes slightly larger and retap.  This has the added benefit of being stronger   Use hardened screws.

The left and right plates are normally identical on Bally's the only thing that is different is that only the holes required for that hand are tapped.
The other hand holes are punched just not tapped, so if you tap all the holes and simply sway the left bracket for the right bracket you will end up with two new brackets.

I did look at that Ian but the tek screw has blown the hole out bigger than a #10 screw.

Thanks for that info Boots. I have only taken the right side off so far, but can see the tek screw fix on the left side as well.

Thanks for that info Boots. I have only taken the right side off so far, but can see the tek screw fix on the left side as well.

That shouldn't be a problem as the left uses different holes to the right

Hmm looks like they are different to the late 70's machines

Well had no luck finding a second hand baseplate, so I decided I would have to make a new one - had that thought at the start but being a lazy prick was hoping to find a used one. So I started today and managed to finish it this afternoon and thought I would have a go at zinc plating it as well.

First image shows the new plate roughed out with all the holes drilled and tapped.

Second pic is the plate in the zinc bath.

Will take another pic Sunday after the plate is dry.

Knew you would spot that. Could not see a reason for that cut-out on the Sky Kings machine, guessing that the plate was from Bally stock that was used on an early machine that had zipper flippers ???    
Plus as I said earlier I'm lazy
