Nutt & Muddle Jubilee help needed
« on: January 02, 2016, 12:56:43 PM »
Gidday all.

Have aquired a jammed machine, which I have stripped down and freed up. Very simple, someone used a two cent piece in a 10c mech.
I found a 1966 10c coin and 2 x 1967, in it.

So I have a number of questions, if anyone can throw in with some advise:

How does one date a machine? Power is for lights only. There is no electro mechanical interfaces at all.

How would one obtain spare cabinet parts.

The chrome front shell (left side of reel window) is bent, so it seems silly to sandblast and rechrome it.

The Panel that used to have the coin funnel (?) is missing.

I may be out West.

Not of any help to you, sorry but my niece used to work at Nutt & Muddle in the '70s.
They were known as Balls & Confusion.
Lets go Brandon!

What do you mean by the panel with the tube. Can you post some picks of the mechanism and I will compare it with mine and if the same you may be able to manufacture a tube. Can't help you with the year as I have a couple and can't find out what year they were made.

Note: Web pic.

Near as I can guess, its early 60's, but since decimal currency came in 1966, probabaly after that.

Already been to Kevs site, spoken with him on the phone, etc.
He says parts are made of unobtainium at the moment...
