User name rip offs
« on: October 14, 2008, 10:21:28 AM »
Hey, lots of you blokes stole your user names from blokes on Aussie arcade!  They're not gonna be happy! *.*

For those who don't know me from AA, I'm a new (2 week) pinball owner with a Judge Dredd in very playable condition.  Just need to do a few repairs on the lamps and I'm away.   Looking forward to some more pinball talk.
Dave.

I confess, I stole the name and avatar - should I expect a C&D from the rights owner????

Dear pinnies4me,

My name is Humphrey Bear and my client has asked me to inform you of a breach of copyright.

This post serves as a Cease and Desist for using an avatar and user name that is a registered trade mark of a fictitious politician.

Please discontinue use of the user name and avatar or I will have to take my bear suit off.

Regards,

Hi Christian,
Lay off the OLDE bit eh? %.%

Few little things with JD.  GI had a missing string.  Pulled out the board and it turned out to ba a bad repair where the plated through hole was stripped out.  Fixed that with a jumper.  Had a few minor probs with trough optos, but that was only connectors.

The only outstanding problem is the lamps.  At the moment when tested one at a time all the lamps in col 1-6 activate the bottom lamp in that same col, and 71 lights 81 as well, 72 lights 82 as well etc & vica versa.    Also lamps  78 and 88 are not working.  Getting there slowly.  I picked up the schematics and am working my way through the problems.  Tough to find the time right now.
Dave.

sounds like a couple of shorted transistors &/ diodes, predrivers can be damaged but usually on sol. looks like you got it all wrapped up.
