Playboy Playfield
« on: April 20, 2016, 09:46:24 PM »
What do you guys think of this? At first I thought it was for the whole machine turned out to be just the playfield.
Is it really a NOS? I didn't think they had bar codes on products in the late 70's.
For the money my choice would be the CPR option.

I call BS.

That box is a CPR box and packaging. That playfield is a first run CPR playfield. You can tell by the fact that the colours are still vivid and also the reverse side of the playfield looks fresh.

Id go so far to call it a second
the wood grain is a little off, CPR holds these back and seels them last

Good point - although the grading system was not used until the Star Trek / Power Play releases. It may have been a seconds or thirds that was sold via email. Definitely not NOS. The photos don't show the lower playfield edge where the "Bally" sticker would have been located (if not removed).

Sent in a CPR box, with the exact same stickers and internal packaging ?
