« on: May 20, 2009, 10:02:12 PM »
Well i picked up the guys Star Trek this afternoon but sadly its worse than it looked even in his shed the backglass is stuffed and the headbox is just as bad.  Cabinet is rough and really badly faded but it has a decent playfield.  Will do some testing next chance i get and see what ok and whats not b4 i go plugging it in but i dont have my hopes set to high id be supprised if even the gi light up.

It is a good platform to base a restoration on Daniel. I look forward to your updates.

Saw one of these at the Expo - went reasonably cheap too.

What's the issue with the backglass? Not so clear in the photo Daniel.

I believe the Data East got pulled and that the Bally was auctioned.

It's lifting from behind. Can be arrested with the triple thick/glad wrap technique apparently. But whether that will get rid of the splotchy look from the front?. I don't know.

Here is the backglass from the back im just scared the tripple thick and glad wrap will crack the picture more than it already is and ruin it more

you would need to stand back and mist the triple-thick on, honestly i would not be handling that until its done

Some one has used sticky tape to hold some of the cracks together and the paint is in really big blisters so the only thing the triple thick will be sticking to is the paint which will still not be touching the glass?   Im very unsure on this one
