Hit The Deck - my brother and I went halves and got it for a christmas present. My parents weren't keen at first as said there was no room. They knew we were keen when we dug out about 2 foot of earth under the house to make room for it. It never went there though, was in the laundry for a while and then in our bedroom

Driving past Pinball Mania the other day and was shocked as they have one in their window - recognised the backglass straight away

Just came across this old thread and really enjoyed reading through it some great stories in there worth a look if you haven't seen it (one member used cooking oil to try to give his playfield a nice shine).
My first machine solar city a $1600 dollar eBay purchase 6 or 7 years back that started or at least rekindled an obsession.....wish I never sold that game and not sure why I did but I made a $250 profit from it so not all bad.

Not sure if I've mentioned it before, my first machine was a Williams dealers choice. Only regret never getting it going before I sold it.
I'm not cranky, I just want MORE pins!

The first one I bought myself was in 1988 when I was 18 and it was the Hankin FJ as I played it in the early 80's at the squash courts in Ballina.

I gave it away when I moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast in October 2002. Compared to the 90's Williams/Bally's that I had I thought it wasn't worth playing every again etc.

There was one my Dad bought for me when I was 12 but I cannot remember what I was. I think I remember it had the W logo on it and it was a single player EM. One day I will look up what one it was. I thought maybe a western or card theme.

A great thread .... first time I've seen it. Some terrific first pins in the mix. My first was a Williams Flash. Still have it and I don't think I'll be letting it go.
Wanted: Another Williams Flash

My first was a popeye saves the earth. Total basket case. It kinda half worked for a couple of days and died. Really wanted to fix it but a mate said part it. Found another popeye that wasn't working and used them both to make one. So my first two machines were a popeye!

Mine was a Data East Starwars. It didn't work and was hacked to death but the playfield was nice under all the grot once it was cleaned up. The problems with that machine was how I found this forum, made some good friends because of it too so not all bad in the end after all.

Williams Indiana Jones in the mid 1990's for $600 from an old operator who was scaling down his route.
