My First Ever restoration
« on: July 13, 2009, 12:51:35 PM »
Greetings All,

just posting a couple of before and after shots of my very first restoration. It was a Gottlieb "High Hand".

Cheers.

I certainly do. I will dig them out and post. They are on another computer, but wont be a problem to find.

Greetings Ric, it was a clearcoat of automotive finish. I did the same on my drop-a-card and it too came up a treat. the only difference is that I took the drop-a-card to an autofinisher because I was not going to get a chance to do it myself for some time. Took it to the guy and had it done overnight for $50.00.

Sandro.

Excellent work mate!

The shot with you in it - you look a tad frustrated!

Just one question - not a beer bottle in sight - please explain!

Wouldn't of been that long ago that game would of been parted out, or simply thrown out!

The stopwatch was so that I could keep track of how many hours went into the artwork restoration (was 53hrs 23mins and 17seconds); starting and stopping the clock accordingly.

Sad, I know....

that is torture

it shows complete dedication

I have spent hours just mixing colours to get it right - the way I knew how time was flying was how many times I had to change the record yet still hadn't painted one brush stroke
