High Hand
« on: July 15, 2009, 11:17:21 PM »
Hey Tony,
Saw this on ebay - nowhere near as good as the one you sold me but it will be interesting what it goes for. Anyone looking for a great card themed EM, I would recommend High Hand. I don't know anything about this seller.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Pinball-Machine-1973-High-Hand_W0QQitemZ160348929972QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_15?hash=item25558a7fb4&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1|66%3A2|39%3A1|293%3A2|294%3A50
Wanted: GTB Aquarius backglass. Any playfield bits and backglasses from any EMs - nothing is junk to me.

Even if you're not into this particular machine you gotta give props to this seller for being honest and above board with the description and plentiful supply of photos.  Unlike my last eBay pinball purchase  ^.^

Think he is dreaming with the boomerang  ((( , and must be on some real good gear to think anyone would pay $8000 BIN for a robocop  !!@

Yeah, I suspect they will eventually be relisted with more realistic pricing.

I was the $5 bidder and the reason is this:

Bidding on an auction is another way of 'watching' an item.

I watch alot of items from many different categories and it is easy to miss auctions but if I bid on them, they are seperated from this watch list and I can be more selective in marking those auctions.

So for me it is another way of marking an auction :)

Same here. I put in a bid up to $60 so I can watch how this developed. Any bets on what it might end up going for?
My guess - $1450

His honest description is going to kill first timer bidding, listing all those imperfections will/has scared them off. Bidding is really slow on this so 1200?

This person has been actively selling games for years, long time operator.
Bought two games off him once. Reasonably accurate description on the one that was on Ebay (the other just happened to be there when I arrived, so lucky I'd brought he big truck!)
“If you wanna escape, go up to a pinball machine. There’s a magic button on the front that takes you to a world under the glass and makes the the rest of the universe disappear.”

I'd rather an honest description than ending up with something that needs a tonne of work at a typically over-inflated eBay price.

Very desirable title....who knows with eBay regarding price  @.@

Could go for around $1200 but wouldn't be surprised if it went for around $1500
