NIB Sterns
« on: October 09, 2009, 12:53:31 PM »
So our mighty Aussie Dollar is back up into the 90's again.  When it plummeted down to 65 a little while ago, the cost of NIB Sterns went up to $8k+ from mid 6's when the dollar was in the 90's.

So......

When will the price of these machines be adjusted according to the current state of the dollar?

There is more topside than that left in this run. Some analysts are predicting 1.20. USA is bankrupt and the quicker everyone gets wind of it the quicker everyone will jump off the USA currency bandwagon. Some countries have now adopted the Euro as their reserve currency instead of the greenback. It also helps when AU interests rates are on the rise again.

I bought 3 games from US when $$$ was at about 95c... i didnt hesitate to snap them up at the time. Well they have been sitting with a fellow collector over there awaiting shipping which now looks to be affordable again.
NIB Sterns will once again be at a price that looks reasonable at least. Anything bought at 65c rate will be hard to find  profit on now... but thats the way it is - i import from China in US$.. this rate is fantastic for me, however, its not the norm and any business will still base their selling price ( for on going imported goods) at the 75 - 80c rate.

One good thing also - Marco's shipping costs wont look so bad now... oh hang on...hot news coming through....... the handling charge increased - bugger!

Perhaps.

But going back 15 months when the dollar tanked.  Ya reckon they were still selling the games that they brought in at $0.95 for $6.5k?.   :tumble:
