CFTBL RAMPS SHOULD THEY BE CLEAR????
« on: December 28, 2009, 08:12:50 PM »
Does anyone know if my CFTBL ramps should be clear????   Mine look like the smoked ones you can get or is it just the years of built up smoke from the dingy pub it came from????    The playfield pictures were almost non existant from all the black muck on it so i wouldnt be suprised if it wasnt dirty

You will have to post pictures, Daniel - Or wait for mine to be posted - They are not "smoked" - they are meant to be clear.

HA!  Thats nothing Daniel!...

My LAH ramps were nearly black and a bit of warm nifty did the trick very nicely...!!!

They may have come from the same smoking house in Germany?

I sat my Batman Forever and Frankenstein ramps (they looked like Martyj's before pics) in warm soapy water in the Laundry trough for ten minutes. Took them out and dried them / wiped them with soft cloths. Lastly I gave them a once over with Novus plastics spray and they came out like brand new ramps......... Pics are on here somewhere from a previous posting.

Have to agree. That will come off real easily.

Here's a true NOS WMS CFTBL ramp, for comparison:

They will be fine mate, if you need one of my old ramps to practice flame polishing on I'll give you one next time we catch up.
Otherwise leave them with me and I can do them for you

They will clean up nicely and if you flame the enterance's (or get ktm450 to) it makes the world of difference otherwise the flashers and GI under the openings show all of the scratches, or more like a foggyness where the under ramps decals are.  A quick flame will clear it right up.
