Whats it worth??
« on: December 28, 2009, 11:34:28 PM »
Hey Guys

A friend of mine has a Gottlieb Spin Out which he no longer whats and has offered it to me, but i have no idea what it might be worth to make an offer. Its not working at the moment (powers up/lights all work but no power to flippers from what i remember) has surface rust on chrome and legs but has a really good playfield and the cabinets in not to bad a nic.

I'm not really up to speed when it comes to this sort of game, any pointers on this game and approx values would be good.

Cheers Mark.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it! If it does not go - that puts a BIG dint in what it's worth IMO.

Yeah, wouldn't be much demand for this. If you let me know the guys details I'll ring and tell him you don't want it. #@#
Seriously though, I think it looks very nice/interesting, based solely on IPDB pics.

If you can get it for between $500-600 and the playfield and backglass are in good condition than I would be buying it.

If it is in good nick and on Ebay could go got $800 upwards.

I feel the opposite.  Never played it, but it "looks" dead boring with nothing to shoot for besides a huge roto target in the middle.

Ya never know though.  Sometimes looks can be deceiving, and it might be an OK player.

I guess the overall simplicity is a part of the appeal for me.
Wide open areas; bold, single player only score display and I really like those little cars racing around the playfield! !^!

Well KISS "is" pretty boring after a couple of games, and it has a shit load more going on than a huge roto in the middle.

As i said. Ya never know.  My Stars looks pretty simple with 2 x 3 bank drops, a bunch of stand ups and a single pop bumper. But man, what a player!.
