1. Earliest pinball memory?
Probably mid eighties (cannot recall exact year) when the local Hamburger Parlour down the road from home (Wanneroo Road, Dog Swamp to be exact) had a number of machines. I recall it having a Playboy, an 8 Ball and a Space Shuttle machine.

2. All time favorite pin? Why?
Fish Tales....... I remember spending hours and hours playing this games at TimeZone as we had a TimeZone we had to walk past to catch the bus home from school. Love the skill shots, game play, noise, colours, additional DMD games............ Everything about Fish Tales ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!

3. Favorite pinball manufacture?
Williams

4. Favorite game in your collection? Why?
Fish Tales...See above

5. How long have you been collecting?
Pinballs have only been a hobby for around two years, however arcade has been about 10 years.

6. First game and how did you find it?
SEGA Frankenstein, bought it from Gibo and Morrie......

7. Do you still have it?
Sold it in the last month.

8. What are you currently working on?
Always working on the Fish Tales and Batman Forever. Will be on the lookout for a few pinball projects this year. Also working on my own custom designed pinball.

9. Most wanted game to add to your collection?
Addams Family, Spiderman and Superman

10. Best all time bargain game added to your collection?
Frankenstein

11. Worst ever miss – tell us about the one that got away!
Space Invaders (lady wanted $1500 and should have bought it). I do know here so hopefully she still has it and will be willing to part with it for less in the new year.

12. Worst ever purchase – tell us about the game you wished you never bought
Data East Simpsons Project........... Totally trashed out but playfield ok to use for the custom project. Probably the Stellar Wars project actually..........

13. Describe your collection
Small, Cosy and well looked after. If I score the few machines I have on my want list I would say the theme is Super Heroes / Movies.

14. Describe your gamesroom
Front lounge room at the moment and GamesRoom under construction.

15. Do you have other games other than pinball?I have 3 x Sitdown Cocktail Machines (2 x 48 in 1's and one dedicated Ghosts and Goblins. I have a Sega Outrun (project), an original Galaga Dedicated Cabinet project, a Ghosts and Goblins upright project and a bartop 48 in 1 machine.

16. Where can you see the hobby in 10 years?
With the current increase in popularity here in Australia and the continual influx of container loads of machines / parts, I see the hobby flourishing in the next few years. I think that there will also be a massive influx of machines that have been in storage and or in homes and never get used (or get minimal usage) that people will want to part with once the hobby gets into full swing over the next 24 to 48 months. You can see by the constant increase in members of AP and the other forums around that the interest in retro gaming / pinball is on the increase.

I think you may also find that as more and more houses are built around Australia and as  both the housing and mining boom comes back in the next few years that more and more people will be incorporating games rooms into their homes and therefore the need for items to fill them increases and the hobby ulitmately continues to grow.

Some interesting points you make there!

I have always enjoyed playing Fish Tales when given the opportunity; definitely one to keep an eye out for.

A real good read daics.

I know Dogswamp really well, was there day before Xmas, but alas aforementioned pinballs now long gone, hopefully one day return !!!
I remember driving up Wanneroo road in the 70s and every chip shop, burger bar, deli and pizza shop had at least one pinball and a Spacies cocktail.

I think $1500 for Bally SI sounds reasonable, you should be able to get one for that. I know they are not very common but shouldn't be impossible to find.

This one had a fair bit of PF wear, however if the lady was to say I could have it for $500 I would grab it for the backglass alone.......
