I want to sell a Williams 1974 Skylab
« on: January 04, 2010, 07:09:26 PM »
Hi, am new to this forum.  Was recommended to come to this site for information of the value of the pinball machine and how to sell it.  This machine is not mine, but I have been given the task by my Father-in-law.
It is in very good condition.
Thanks

Hi, Where is the machine located and please tell us a bit about its condition - preferably with some pics as well.

Cheers

What do you reckon $500 or $600 depending on condition, maybe more, maybe less?

Not one of the better 70's Williams games.  Playfield looks like Jubilee/Darling with inlanes instead of the ball kickers.

The red in Sky Lab is usually faded out on the backglass.

Not something i'd consider owning, so hard to put a price on it.  Ebay would be the best judge.

Yeah, agreed on putting it on eBay with a minimum starting bid of what you definitely want for it (say $350 or so). Anything above that will be a bonus. If you don't get any bids you started too high.

But it will also come down to WHERE the machine is - eBay or not! Anyway f**k eBay - what's wrong with finding a REAL buyer like we used to do? If it was in Brisbane I would "consider" it but anywhere else it is no good to me due freight issues. You then also don't have any PayPus issues................

Depends if anyone here actually wants it - if they do, they can PM the seller; if they don't then putting it on eBay will put it before a wider audience.

Hi Gerry,I sold a Skylab last year in pretty average condition, but that was to a space theme nut, unfortunately it`s not a very good player and gets boring after a few games, but you never know there is a game for everyone so anything is possible,if you get no interest here I would try ebay, just start it at the least you will take for it.
