Pinball compendium books
« on: January 20, 2010, 10:28:23 PM »
Ach - copuldnt find the original thread so have started another.

Spoke to michael today regarding those people trying to buy his books.
Volume 3 is definately NOT available at the moment,
Those people in Sydney can go to Michaels house ( yes you are more than welcome) and pick the books up in person.. ring him on 0414541062, just tell him you are from the forum and Gavin said to arrange a time to pick up the books - he knows all about it.

If you do not live in Sydney, then michael is coming to Brisbane soon and will bring up several volumes of each for me to distribute from here.
I had a few PMs regarding getting hold of these books.. but i dont know where each of you are...

Cavey.. sorry mate.. when #3 is back on these shores, ill make sure you get a couple,

Marty Machine and Prince.. if you are in Sydney... go meet the man.. the most enthusiastic pinhead youll ever meet.. he'll sign your books for you....if not then ill have them for you soon.

Just to add... i AM NOT selling Mikes books.. just trying to get them to the people that want them and get you all sorted   ^^^ ^^^

Retropin, Please cancel my order....
I finally got succesive emails form Mike, and now have books #1,2 &4 here in my house....

I've now asked Mike if he'd send me down a batch of books to re-distribute to the local Vic boys....hopefully that will offload mikes workload a little.

Anyone in Victoria need these books? so i can put together some numbers/orders?

Marty.

Good stuff Marty - I did email Micheal on behalf of those guys on the site who had not received order info, and he said you were "looked after". So hopefully we will see some locally soon  ^^^

Volume 3 is '1982 to present.'

Great read IMO... Worth getting...well they all are...

Volume 4 is 'Electro-mechanical era.'

Also a great read. If not for the read then definitely for the pix.

I think you can still get new and s/hand copies from Amazon... I would try there..

Vol#3 is sold out mate... not a lot you can do about it till the next print.. unless of course you can source a 2nd hand one.

#4 is the "electromechanical years" and has pinball from its early start right through to start of SS games. Lists machines in decades and is packed with photos etc.. its a great book that showcases the best of the decades with write ups on each, valuations etc.. well worth having and probably my favourite of all of the 4 books
