Got this email from Pascal for anyone interested...

hello everyone

here is the last status about my PI-80 board's progress.

*******************************************
***** VERSION as of March, 16 2010    *****
*******************************************

NEW FEATURES :
IDLE MODE
- in "game over" mode, the playfield illumination lamps are turned off after a selected amount of time (30s, 2min, 4min)
ENTER NAMES IN HIGH SCORES TABLE MODE
- when enabled, the coin slot switches allow left/right letters scrolling, once coupled to left & right flipper buttons by means of microswitches.
the complete description of the modification (in french so far but very easy to follow, with pictures) is available in HTML and .doc formats.

NEW GAMES :
- none but 2 in progress: Black Hole and Devil's Dare

FIXED BUGS :
HAUNTED HOUSE
- [high] bottom playfield: upon game end, the bottom drop targets are correctly brought back up and do not generate an error
- the bonus sound is played accurately after a tilt
AMAZONT HUNT
- the tilt sound is managed accurately

KNOWN BUGS UNDER FIXING :
JACKS TO OPEN
- the first AKQJ10 drop targets sequence does not award the double bonus, it must be made twice

MANUEL
still no full manual, just a spreasheet in PDF format with all menus settings.
should you have questions, comments, specific request, do not hesitate to write me.

HOW TO SET THE DESIRED GAME UPON POWER-UP
the setup is exactly the same as on my PI-1 & PI-1 X4 boards (System 1) and is described in the PDF file.
if the game has changed since last time, the board directly brings the settings configuration menu specific to the newly selected game.

SOFTWARE UPDATES
to take advantage of the free & unlimited updates, you must only ship back to me the small PI-80/MCU daughterboard (the one in the center that hosts the flashing "CPU" LED) alone, well protected in a bubblefoam envelope.

happy pinball,
Pascal.

Excellent - I will be purchasing a couple boards at least. I'll have to wait until Spirit and Force II are completed !

Thanks for the update, Paul  ^^^
