NOS Backglasses
« on: March 18, 2010, 04:40:23 PM »
I just got a couple of backglasses from Mayfair Amusements in the US and I wanted to share.  *%*

These things are NOS and look like they were just made, not a mark on them.  #*#

I don't have the machines but they'll look great framed in my games room anyway.
You can't really see it in the pictures but the mirroring on the Back to the Future glass looks awesome.
I'd love to get a few more of those.

If you have a freight forwarder in the USofA I would recommend Steve Engel at Mayfair. He's helped me out a few times now with rare stuff.
Great packaging too.

They look great.     How much did they set you back?  And how much was shipping?

Back to the Future was $195 and Super Nova was $125. Not bad prices for NOS glasses I think.
The killer was shipping, $300!
I didn't care though, I just wanted them.
I'm going to get a few more soon as I get some spare coin.

They look awesome ! I've never seen a Gameplan machine, so to see a NOS backglass is very exciting !

Was the shipping price of $300 Door to Door ?

Man they look great!
I am also after a glass from Mayfair but he advises that he does not ship international. Can I ask how you got them here and if a freight company looked after it & who did you use? Thanks.

I have a friend in the US who forwards stuff for me but there are a few freight forwarding companys that have reasonable rates.
I'd try one of them if you don't know anyone over there.

OK will do. Saw that the FF http://www.priceusa.com.au/n has been used before for backglasses.

Always a worry with the BG so fragile and heavy. Will give them a try. Cheers.
